Copa Catalunya Finals 2014
Bermudian Footballer in Spain - Season Finally Over
Th match UE Cornella vs Barcelona FC saw a thrilling encounter between two of the best teams in Catalunya face off to see who would be crowned U14 Copa Catalunya Champions. UE Cornella went down early as both teams tried to influence the game. At the half-time whistle Barcelona were leading 1-nil. Kane Crichlow was brought on in the second half and had an impact on the game immediately. A penalty was awarded to UE Cornella and that goal leveled the score before both teams tried to break down each other to no avail. When it seemed that the game was destined to go down to penalty kicks, the ball was lost in the midfield and Barcelona scored the winner in time added on.
I was not present to see the game but the updates/reports (by coach Kenny) that were passed onto me, made me feel as if I was stiting in the stands biting my nails. I can only assume that it was deifinitely an amazing experience for Kane and his teammates and even though they lost, losing builds character and determination to do Better next time!
Being #2 is not all that Bad! :)
